Old Baldy trail in the fall

This is my absolute favorite fall hike in the Black Hills.

The Old Baldy trail is 6 miles long and has a mile long spur.  There are no services at the trail so pack plenty of snacks and water.

The video below shows the drive from Roughlock Falls.  Follow BHNF Rd 222 about 6 miles. Then turn north (right) on BHNF Rd 134 (Tinton Rd) and you’ll see the trail head in about a mile.
